The Radio Network

The Radio Network (TRN) is a major player in the New Zealand radio market.

We have seven radio station brands in New Zealand - Newstalk ZB, Classic Hits, ZM, Radio Hauraki, Coast, Radio Sport and Flava – we’re also online and in the community.

TRN also maintains websites for all of its brands, smartphone apps, and brand representation in social media.

TRN is involved with the New Zealand community at national and local levels, with sponsorships and partnerships with business, the arts, charities, sports interests, education and more.

TRN is also connected to Civil Defence as an official provider of information in Civil Defence Emergencies.

TRN as a private company was formed in 1996 after the state-owned Radio New Zealand commercial branch was sold by the Government.

The Radio Network TRN is a subsidary of the Australian Radio Network (ARN). And ARN is owned by Clear Channel Media + Entertainment (USA) and APN News & Media (Australia).
